ZAPATA, Texas (KGNS) - Border Patrol agents of the Zapata station seized over a thousand pounds of marijuana.
According to Border Patrol officials the incident happened on February 7th when agents were called out to suspicious activity near Falcon Lake.
Agents say they found two individuals loading bundles of alleged marijuana into a Chevrolet Traverse from a boat in the lake.
As agents approached the vehicle, the men got in the boat and absconded back to Mexico.
Agents found 46 bundles of alleged marijuana, which had an estimated street value of $826,733.
No arrests were made in the case and the marijuana was turned over to the DEA.
