CBP officers seize 20 pounds of crystal meth at a Laredo port of entry

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 20 pounds of alleged crystal meth at Laredo Port of Entry.

According to CBP, the seizure happened on January 11th at the Lincoln Juarez Bridge when an officer referred a 2017 Nissan SUV to secondary inspection.

CBP says the vehicle was driven by a 42-year-old woman from Dallas, Texas.

When officers searched the vehicle they found three packages of alleged crystal meth inside the vehicle.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $394,182.

CBP seized the narcotics and the case was turned over to Homeland Security.
