County looking to provide utility assistance for residents in need

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - The county is looking for people to apply for their Utility Assistance Program.

The program also known as CEAP helps low income households pay their light bills for up to 18 months.

Representatives from the Community Action Agency will be on location at two community centers starting on Thursday for people wanting to apply.

Representatives will be at the Salinas Community Center in Mirando City and then on Friday they will be at the Bruni Community Center.

Residents will need to provide a proof citizenship, driver’s license, benefit award letters, proof of household income and most current bills.
