LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - Police have released the identity of the motorcyclist who was hit by a car last week.

The motorcyclist was identified as 21-year-old, Juan Marcos Medellin.

Medellin was taken to a San Antonio hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car last Friday on San Bernardo.

Medellin was reportedly not wearing a helmet and remains in critical condition.

Laredo Police say a motorcyclist suffered a head injury after being hit by a car Friday afternoon.

The incident happened close to the intersection of San Bernardo and Calton around three in the afternoon.

According to the Laredo Fire Department, the motorcyclist was a 21-year-old man and was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The man suffered an injury to the head and was taken to the Laredo Medical Center.

The Laredo Fire Department says that the two passengers in the car did not want to be taken to the hospital.
