Desert Heat, Followed by Some Gulf Influence

By  |

Desert air will remain present aloft tonight, and will be mixed downward toward the surface with the stirring of the atmosphere with daytime heating Thursday. This will mean more 100F+ heat. A return of a shallow layer of gulf air will bring somewhat more humid air, more fair weather clouds and temperatures below 100 during the weekend. Desert air will return aloft, and may bring temperatures close to 100 next week.

I'm expecting mostly clear tonight, low in the low to mid 70's. Mostly sunny Thursday and Friday, highs above 100 Thursday, high 90's to near 100 Friday. Partly cloudy Saturday and Sunday, highs in the mid to high 90's. Mostly sunny Monday through Wednesday, highs in the high 90's to around 100.
