LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Residents of District Seven got a chance to meet with their councilman over the weekend to voice their opinions at a town hall meeting.
The meeting went over the availability of several thousands of dollars.
Councilman George Altgelt was gathering input from the community to figure out how to put the money to good use.
In order to get the best contributions, residents were separated into groups.
Many residents pitched their ideas on how to spend the million dollars.
Local resident Yolanda Revel says, “I would like to see the Metro line go further beyond Killam, to reach La Bota, and Green Ranch because there's a lot of people that work there.”
Councilman George Altgelt will gather all of the ideas and will publish them in a newsletter.
At the town hall meeting, representatives from every department were on hand to answer any concerns residents had.
