(NBC) - The pre-season NFL game between the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys that was initially set for Thursday has been canceled.
The Texans were not able to return home from New Orleans after their game against the Saints last Sunday.
Since then, the team has been practicing in Frisco at the Cowboy’s facility.
The Texans were supposed to play the Cowboys Thursday in Houston.
The game was moved to Arlington after Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast.
NFL says the teams were told that the game is being called off, so players, coaches and staff can get back home and take care of their families.
Texans player, J.J. Watt has been raising funds for storm victims. His campaign has already raised more than five million dollars.
