Laredo International Airport Receives Grant From FAA

Congressman Henry Cuellar announced the 7.8 million dollars in federal funds for the airport improvement program.

LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - The Laredo International Airport is looking into making some improvements, which could bring more jobs to the local area.

On Tuesday morning, Congressman Henry Cuellar announced the 7.8 million dollars in federal funds for the airport improvement program.

The grant will focus on extending and rehabilitating the taxiway, adding traffic signs and more.

Mayor Pete Saenz says that the city will be looking into getting a direct flight from Laredo to Mexico.
