Two men arrested after bar fight leads to shooting

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - An altercation between a group of men at a local bar escalates into an exchange of gun fire.

According to Laredo Police, the incident happened at around 2 a.m. on Thursday morning when an altercation broke out at a bar located on the 200 block of West Del Mar.

While in the parking lot the men drove up to each other and opened fire on each of their cars.

According to reports two of the men drove off in a car and the other men chased after them in another vehicle.

That is when the people in the car started shooting at those who were chasing them.

The people in that car met up with police and provided a description of the other vehicle.

Police found the car in a nearby neighborhood and a total of eight casings that were fired at the scene.

One of the men was hurt in the gunfire and was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Laredo Police arrested 19-year-old Benito Olguin and 26-year-old Jesus Alberto Fernandez for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
