LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - Texas home sales jumped 5.5 percent compared to the first six months of 2016 and Laredo is seeing the increase too.

According to the Texas Association of Realtors, Laredo home sales increased 2.1 percent in the first half of 2017 but median price decreased 1.9 percent to $155,000 during the same time frame.

Experts do warn that Hurricane Harvey will likely negatively impact housing market statistics for the remainder of 2017 since Houston’s housing market accounts for roughly 25 percent of the Texas Housing Market.
