Update: Man arrested in mailman stabbing case

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - The man who allegedly stabbed the mailman on Wednesday afternoon has been arrested by Laredo Police.

The man has been identified as 29-year-old Amado Saldier Jr.

Saldier was previously arrested for stabbing a neighbor back in December 2016.

Laredo Police say the mailman was out on his normal mail route when a man came out of a home on the 600 block of San Pedro and walked up to the mail carrier and allegedly stabbed him multiple times.

Police say the mailman was bleeding out and was in serious condition when he was taken to the Laredo Medical Center.

The 47-year-old postal worker is listed as, in stable condition.

A mailman is stabbed at around four in the afternoon while delivering mail to a home in central Laredo.

Laredo Police say the mailman was out on his normal mail route when a man came out of a home on the 600 block of San Pedro and walked up to the mail carrier and allegedly stabbed him multiple times.
The man then went back inside his home.

Police say the mailman was bleeding out and was in serious condition when he was taken to the Laredo Medical Center.

The 47-year-old postal worker is listed as, in stable condition.

The 29-year-old man from the home has been detained by police and is being interviewed.
