LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - A man is arrested for allegedly assaulting and injuring a woman with a handgun.
According to Laredo Police, 25-year-old Ramiro Amaro is accused in the case.
Police say on September 9th, 2017, officers were called out to 2500 Pierce Street where a woman said she was assaulted by a man with a gun.
According to the victim, she was walking near Burlington Coat Factory around midnight and willingly got into Amaro’s car to get a ride.
The woman then noticed that Amaro started to drive to a different location and said she wanted to get out of the car, but the Amaro refused to stop.
According to the woman, Amaro started to yell at her and she noticed that he had a gray color handgun, which was placed near his shoulder.
The woman said that she asked again if she could get out of the car and the man started to rack the side of the handgun back several times and allegedly threatened the woman.
Amaro then stopped at a residence on Pierce Street which is when Amaro allegedly ordered the woman to go inside.
The woman left the vehicle and hid under a truck, which is where she called police.
Police arrested and charged Amaro with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
