LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - A man is arrested for allegedly stealing tools from an auto-parts store.

Laredo Police believe 51-year-old Samuel Roberto Solis is responsible for the alleged crime.

According to Laredo Police, on September third officers were called out to an auto-parts business located on 4019 San Bernardo where a theft was in progress.

An employee at the store stated that he had recognized Solis as a previous offender of theft and followed him outside the businesses.

When the employee confronted Solis, he asked him to empty out his pockets.

When Solis emptied his pockets he allegedly pulled out a wrench that he had allegedly stolen on the employee.

The employee said that he felt threatened and allegedly punched Solis in the chest.

Solis then put the items down and walked away.

Once Solis had left officers were able to pick him up near a hotel in the area and brought him back to the business for questioning.

The employee wrote a statement wanting to press charges.

Police arrested and charged Solis for robbery.

Solis was taken to the Webb County Jail.
