Man arrested for burglary of a vehicle and theft of property

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - A man is arrested after attempting to sell items that he allegedly stole on a mobile app.

Laredo Police say 24-year-old Alexander Carlos Prince is accused of stealing a woman’s purse and then trying to sell the items.

According to police, back on June 24th, an officer was called out to the 2400 block of Quail Creek where a woman reported that someone had went into her vehicle and stolen her purse and her wallet.

The woman said the she did not catch anyone in the act but wanted to report it stolen.

A couple of days later somebody contacted the woman via Facebook and told her that Prince was selling a Michael Kors brand purse and a pink wallet that matched the description of the stolen items.

The victim told police that Prince was trying to sell the stolen items on the smartphone app, ‘Let Go’ and his Facebook was linked to the account.

Police were able to track down Alexander Carlos Prince and arrest him.

Prince was charged with theft of property and burglary of a vehicle.
