Update: Man arrested in connection to home invasion shooting

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A tip to Laredo Police leads to the arrest of one of the men involved in Thursday morning’s home invasion that resulted in a shooting.

Authorities say they received a tip indicating the car of one of the men allegedly involved in that accident was parked near Hillside.

When police arrived they arrested 27-year-old Carlos Daniel Rodriguez and charged him with home invasion with intent to commit a felony.

According to police, Rodriguez along with a group of other men are accused of entering a home on Narciso Street at around 2 a.m. and shooting the man who lived there.

The man was rushed to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover.

Authorities are still searching for other suspects who were involved in the case.

The Laredo Police Department is investigating a home invasion case where a man was shot in the vicinity of his own home.

According to police the incident happened on Thursday morning at around 2 a.m. in the 6000 block of Narciso Drive in the Las Misiones subdivision on Highway 359.

Police say several men allegedly busted into the victim’s house and shot him in the groin.

The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition; however, authorities say he is expected to recover.

Investigators are waiting for the victim to be released so they can question him about the people who shot him.

Police have no leads at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
