Man shot during Facebook live video opens his eyes

HOUSTON, TX (NBC) - A man who was horrifically shot during a Facebook live video has opened his eyes for the first time since the incident.

Twenty-six-year-old Devyn Holmes was shot in the head during a Facebook live video on Easter Sunday while in a parked car at a gas station in Houston.

Holmes was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

The brother of Devyn, Bruce Taylor says that Devyn opened his eyes for the first time at a Houston area hospital, marking another step to recovery.

The family says that Devyn is continuing to improve and they believe the prayers and support they have received from all over the nation and the world are fueling Devyn’s recovery.
