Much Cooler Air Moving In

By  |

A much cooler airmass will move in from the Great Plains late tonight and early Wednesday morning. A shallow layer of humid gulf air will lift above the cool winds producing gray skies and some drizzle. A wave in the upper level wind flow will produce lifting motion for more widespread showers Wednesday night into early Thursday. The cool moist airmass will move eastward with gradual clearing and warmer weather beginning Saturday.

I'm expecting it to become cloudy and cooler late tonight, low around 60, warmer in Zapata. Cloudy with some drizzle and cooler throughout the area with temperatures dropping into the high 50's. Showers Wednesday night. Mainly cloudy with a slight chance of showers Thursday and Friday, highs in the upper 50's Thursday, the 60's Friday. Partly to mostly cloudy Saturday through Tuesday, highs in the 70's to low 80's.
