Update: Two men injured in south Laredo shooting

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Laredo Police are still investigating the shooting that left two men injured on the city’s south side Thursday afternoon.

According to police the shooting happened at around three in the afternoon at a house off of Daniela Loop.

Two men identified as 26-year-old Ignaction Melendez and 46-year-old Carlos Rangel were shot and injured.

According to police it appears only one bullet was fired but that round ricocheted hitting both of the men.

Both men are in stable condition after having been shot in the stomach and the leg.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses to try to gather information and identify the suspect.

Both Melendez and Rangel are related and police believe the victims and the shooter all knew each other.

Police say the suspect remains at large.

Laredo Police are investigating a shooting that happened on the city’s south side.

According to police, two men were injured after shots were fired at a home on Daniela Loop.

One man was shot in the abdomen and the other was shot in the leg.

Police say the men knew each other and are not cooperating with the investigation.
