Talking to your kids about natural disasters

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - The recent devestations seen across the globe have been tough scenes to watch.

Whether it may be hurricanes, or earthquakes, natural disasters are horrific sights to bear.

Experts say it is important to note that the youngest members of your family are children and they are seeing all of this going on as well.

According to Myrthala Alejo with Pillar, a child will sense fear and distress but because of their young age, they won’t be able to process it.

Alejo suggests that parents speak to their children to help them understand the confusion that comes with natural disasters.
