Update: Man arrested in connection to theft of local amusement center

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Luck ran out for one of the alleged thieves that robbed an eight liner business earlier this week.

Authorities say they were able to use surveillance video of the Super Bonus Game Room and eventually track down the thief.

Laredo Police arrested 36-year-old Mark Anthony Velasquez in the case.

Authorities say they were able to identify with his distinct Mohawk hairstyle.

Police say this is not the first time Velasquez has been in trouble with the law. He has been arrested nine times on a variety of other crimes.

Velasquez was charged with aggravated robbery.

Police are still on the lookout for the second suspect.

A couple of thieves decided to make their own luck as they allegedly held up a local eight-liner business.

According to police, the incident happened at the Super Bonus Game Room on McPherson Road when two people wearing masked walked in through the backdoor.

Employees at the business say one of the masked men was carrying a gun at the time.

Authorities say the armed man held one of the employees at gunpoint and forced him to open the safe.

The thieves made off with approximately $5,000.

Luckily no one inside the business was hurt.

Police are now looking for the suspects.
