CBP Officers Seize Over $195K in Marijuana at World Trade Bridge

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - Laredo Customs and Border Protection agents take down another large haul of drugs trying to get smuggled into the United States.

The bust happened at the World Trade Bridge, when CBP officers became suspicious of a refrigerated tractor trailer trying to cross.

Officers referred the trailer to secondary inspection, where a K-9 search and physical inspection led to the discovery of 276 packages, which contained just under 1,000 pounds of marijuana.

The estimated street value of the drugs is around $195,000.
