LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - Over $2 million could make its way to help high school students heading for college.
Laredo Community College is eligible to receive the money for Upward Bound. The program provides weekend tutoring for high school students to improve their grade point averages.
Other schools, including the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Palo Alto College, will also receive grants.
Congressman Henry Cuellar plans to hold a press conference on the matter here in Laredo at a later date.
