LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - A traffic stop by sheriff's deputies lands a pretty large load of cash.

Deputies pulled over an SUV being driven by a man from Monterrey on I-35, about 23 miles outside of Laredo.
When they questioned the driver, the man gave deputies conflicting stories. This prompted a search of the vehicle.
Deputies found 48 stacks of cash hidden inside of a diaper bag. The cash totaled $49,000.
The man was released by deputies, while the case is under investigation.
