LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - One county commissioner is asking Precinct Four residents to "flash 4-ward" by keeping them connected through a new app.

The "Flash4ward" app allows users to submit community concerns, ask about volunteer opportunities and request information on Webb County Precinct Four events directly from your mobile device.

The "Flash4ward" app allows users to submit community concerns, ask about volunteer opportunities and request information on Webb County Precinct Four events directly from your mobile device.

The app also provides useful links to community resources.

Users can also get updates on infrastructure projects taking place within Precinct Four, as well as register their kids for educational summer camps.

"It's a very neat way to avoid having to come downtown, where sometimes parking is a problem and you don't have to spend your gas coming over here," Canales said. "So fast-access, we want to make sure that the people get the service that they deserve using the tools that we have in place."

Users can also express their concerns through the community link feature and may request personal meetings with Commissioner Canales with a click of a button.

Once you download the app, people living in Precinct Four can earn up to 20 community service hours by answering a few questions and sharing the app.
