UISD Changes Ticket Rules for Graduation Ceremonies

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - In less than three weeks, graduation for high school students will be underway at the Laredo Energy Arena.

UISD clarifies the tickets are not for sale and should be picked up by the graduating student at their respected schools.

To avoid the problem of duplicate tickets the United Independent School District faced last year, they have teamed up with the LEA and Ticketmaster to print out tickets this year.

UISD clarifies the tickets are not for sale and should be picked up by the graduating student at their respected schools.

Graduation will take place June 2nd and 3rd. The district says they are working to ensure no family is left behind from seeing their loved one walk on stage.

"Parent's and our community members who have the best of interest in viewing the graduations come on in and have the opportunity to do so," says UISD Associate Superintendent Gloria Rendon. "So we are taking extra measures. We want to make sure that everyone can get it. In addition to that, those who cannot travel to Laredo and might not be able to get in, we do have our graduation streamed live on our UISD website."

Rendon adds the United ISD graduations will be also streamed live from their district Facebook page.
