Tamaulipas Governor Vows to Restore Peace

NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico (KGNS) - Tamaulipas Governor Francisco Garcia Cabeza de Vaca says his administration will not guard down or retreat in the fight against crime in light of last week's killings of four top state officials in Nuevo Laredo.

De Vaca spoke at the memorial service of Ricardo Martinez Chavez. Martinez headed the local office for the Tamaulipas State Attorney General in Nuevo Laredo.

De Vaca reassures the public he will do what it takes to restore peace and tranquility in the state.

The three other officials killed in Wednesday's attack were Agustín Jonathan Rosales García, Carlos Alberto Pasarán Hernández and Daniel Aguilar Guijarro.
