LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - The woman accused of vehicular manslaughter in connection with the accident claiming the life of an eight-year-old girl is out on bond.

Karla Karina Ortega Camacho's bond had been set at $150,000, which she posted.

Ortega Camacho was arrested after she allegedly made a u-turn going into oncoming traffic on the flyover on I-35 and Loop 20.

This is when police say she allegedly slammed into a truck being driven by a woman with eight-year old Belinda Muniz.

The impact of this crash caused Belinda to be thrown from the truck landing beneath the Milo Road flyover.

Ortega Camacho is said to have made the u-turn because she saw traffic building up on the flyover.

Vehicular manslaughter is a second degree felony in Texas, which carries a prison term of two to 20 years in prison.
