Allograft Resources using art to heal grief

The focus is on healing in one

This month’s topic is “Grief Journey: Using Creative Arts to Heal and Remember.”

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A number of people go through grief in their lives, and Laredo is using the power of art to heal that grief.

Allograft Resources is a division of UT Health Science Center at San Antonio Transplant, that offers monthly grief support workshops. This month’s topic is “Grief Journey: Using Creative Arts to Heal and Remember.”

This session is meant for anyone who has lost a loved one or those working with the bereaved that may benefit from this information. This will provide insight into various ways of working through grief, self-care and honoring our loved ones through the use of creative arts. The focus is on healing in one's grief journey.

The workshop is Tuesday, March 18th, at 6:00 pm at the Laredo Public Library Conference Room. Teens are welcome to attend with a parent but please make accommodations for young children as grief can be a very emotional topic and there are no childcare arrangements available.
