Starting Monday, May 19, officers will be out in full force looking for those who are not wearing seatbelts.
Texas law requires everyone in the vehicle to wear their seatbelt.
According to recent data, wearing the seatbelt increases your chances of surviving a serious accident be 45 percent.
The "Click It or Ticket" campaign will last until June 1.
