People who drink four cups of coffee a day had a 42 percent lower risk.

(NBC) - A cup of joe a day could keep liver cancer away.

Researchers say drinking one cup of coffee a day was linked to a 29 percent lower risk of liver cancer, compared to drinking six or less cups a week.

People who drink four cups of coffee a day had a 42 percent lower risk.

Experts aren't yet sure which of coffee's almost 100 active compounds may provide this protection against liver cancer.
