Married women less likely to die of heart disease

The risk of developing the disease is the same.

Women could be encouraged by their partners to stay healthy.

(NBC) - Marriage could heal your heart in more than one way!

That's because women who are married are 28% less likely to die of heart disease than unmarried women, even though their risk of developing the disease is the same.

Researchers don't know why this is the case, but suggest these women may be encouraged by their partners to seek early medical treatment and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
