(NBC) - The roof of the athletic training center at Texas Tech University collapsed overnight from the weight of recent heavy snow.
Thankfully, no one was injured. Lubbock received nearly 12 inches of snow earlier this week.
Continued freezing temperatures and ice accumulation prevented the removal of the snow and ice.
Tech officials met early Friday morning to discuss options for the facility.
The ATC was already scheduled to be torn down this spring and replaced with a new indoor complex for the football and track and field programs.
