City receives insurance money to fix hurricane damage

Four years after Hurricane Alex damaged infrastructure along the Rio Grande, the City of Laredo has received nearly half a million dollars as an insurance settlement for the damages.

Laredo's Bridge Director says repairs will begin within the next few weeks.

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - The city of Laredo now has the insurance money to make much needed repairs due to extreme damage.

Four years after Hurricane Alex damaged infrastructure along the Rio Grande, the City of Laredo has received nearly half a million dollars as an insurance settlement for the damages. Laredo's Bridge Director says repairs will begin within the next few weeks.
