LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - The juveniles involved in the 406th district court's drug court program are looking for a little help to get to class.
Educators for the Jose A. Valdez High School say many of these kids are trying to change their lives around but transportation is a factor for many.
To prevent the students from missing the program was to work with the city to give them a free bus pass.
At Monday city council meeting council member Alex Perez praised the program and pushed the city to fund ten students for six months.
City manager will look into helping the program out and the estimate it would be around $20.
