LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - Congressman Henry Cuellar says president Bill Clinton is set to come to Laredo this month.

President Clinton had cancelled his planned Laredo visit last month due to a family emergency.

The former president is on the road campaigning for this wife, Hilary Clinton.

He'll be in town for a private fundraiser and later the public will be able to hear president Clinton's speech at TAMIU about current border and economic issues.

Somebody with the experience of President Clinton will allow the students to hear him and others a public discourse that we in Laredo and surrounding areas deserve", said Cuellar.

President Clinton will be in town February 22, he is scheduled to deliver his speech that day at noon at TAMIU.
