LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - A two day conference benefiting veterans affairs is set to begin on Thursday.
The South Texas Veterans Conference is kicking off its first ever event with experts from many Texas state departments.
This conference is focused on educating veterans and the general public on how to cope with many issues veterans confront post war.
"There's a lot of information for just about every group of veterans. Whether they served in World War Two, Korea, Vietnam, even Iraq and Afghanistan, even the public. We have a wide array of points to talk about and what we learn from this first annual is going to impact what we prepare for the next legislature", said Gabriel Lopez.
This two day public event kicks off Thursday and runs until Friday from nine a.m. 12 p.m. at the Ramada Plaza.
