Faulk hopes it serves as a distraction to what have been some very real, downright frightening days here.
UNIVERSITY PARK, TEXAS (NBC) - A Texas man is hopeful people will appreciate his dark sense of humor when it comes to his Halloween decorations.
His theme this year.... Ebola.
At first glance it doesn't look all that different from the real thing.
It's just that James Faulk put all this together for fun.
"You know i'm a happy-go-lucky guy, and that's what it's all about", said Faulk. "Having fun. Don't mean to offend anybody."
But Faulk knows he has.
With people tweeting things like:
Describing him as "amazingly tone deaf."
"Yeah, it's been a little crazy", Faulk says.
Faulk's talking about the attention his fake hazmat scene is getting.
He hopes it serves as a distraction to what have been some very real, downright frightening days here.
"It was scary", Faulk says. "And that's why this thing came to mind so quickly. Ebola is scary. It scared me. And it scared everybody. And we're making light of it. But in the end, hopefully, everybody's gonna get a laugh out of it and have a good day."
