VATICAN CITY (NBC) - Pope Francis said on Monday greed is "the beginning of corruption."
In his home at this Monday's mass, he said those who have it instead "are called by God to use it for the good of others."
He added "that's where they'll find joy."
Since becoming pontiff, Francis has preached against greed while promoting causes to help the poor.
He said that "If you have a closed hand, your heart is closed."
