World's Tallest Water Slide still closed

After three attempts to open the water slide, officials at Schlitterbahn Water Park have not decided on an opening date for Verruckt.

The 168-foot and seven-inch ride gained widespread attention when it was tabbed by Guinness World Records as the World's Tallest Water Slide.

KANSAS CITY (NBC) - The World's Tallest Water Slide is still not open at Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City.

After three attempts to open the water slide, officials at Schlitterbahn Water Park have not decided on an official opening date for the water slide called "Verruckt."

The 168-foot and seven-inch ride gained widespread attention when it was tabbed by Guinness World Records as the World's Tallest Water Slide.

The slide was originally scheduled to open May 23, but additional work continues to delay its opening.
