More than two million beanbag chairs recalled

Following the deaths of two children, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Ace Bayou Corporation have announced the voluntary recall of some 2.2 million beanbag chairs.

Officials say the zippers on the bean bag chairs can be opened and children can then crawl inside, get trapped and suffocate or choke on the bean bag chair's foam beads.

(NBC) - More than two million bean bag chairs are recalled.

Following the deaths of two children, The US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Ace Bayou Corporation have announced the voluntary recall of some 2.2 million bean bag chairs.

Officials say the zippers on the bean bag chairs can be opened and children can then crawl inside, get trapped and suffocate or choke on the bean bag chair's foam beads.

The recalled chairs come in several colors, shapes and sizes - and were sold at Bon-Ton, Meijer, Pamida, School Specialty, Wayfair and Walmart stores and online at Amazon.com, Meijer.com and Walmart.com before July 2013.
