CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (KRIS) - If you're looking for a job, here's some good news. More jobs are coming to the coastal bend, thanks to a historic investment by an Austrian company.

The company is called Voestalpine, and they're already the largest employer in Austria. Now, they're bringing all that opportunity to the coastal bend.

The company just broke ground on its new plant on the La Quinta ship channel. They'll be offering more than 150 high-paying positions, and over one thousand construction jobs. The company's CEO Wolfgang Eder said it's an almost $800-million dollar investment.

An investment that many say will be a game-changer for Corpus Christi's unemployed. Eder said for every one open job, another four will be created.
