OHIO (NBC) - A young Ohio girl just can't stop thinking about the recent Bruno Mars concert she just saw.
Not only was she treated to his music, but a special tribute from the singer himself.
Zumyah Thorpe is still smiling and dancing since Saturday's concert where she met and was serenaded by Bruno Mars himself. He showered her with gifts - including his hat, guitar, signed picture, and tour jacket just to name a few. She felt more than special, but more importantly he gave her a gift that will last her lifetime.
Zumyah's grandparents, Ronda and Alonzo were overwhelmed with gratitude but had no idea Bruno's gestures would make news around the world. He shared her story with thousands of his Facebook fans, tweeted about how she inspired him, and posted a selfie on Instagram.
His fans at The Q were also brought to tears and smiles by Zumyah's story that played during the concert.
His music helped her recover, but there's still a long road ahead. The accident damaged four parts of her brain, but her grandparents encourage her to fight on.
And Bruno's sincerity gives her strength too.
