AUSTIN, TX (KXAN) - Lady Gaga will bring hordes of her “little monsters” to a South by Southwest show on March 13.
The pop star made the announcement a week in advance, in a video released by Doritos early Thursday morning.
Doritos is reportedly bringing its Bold Stage to Stubb’s for the night, because the City of Austin denied a permit for the diva to play the company’s pop-up lot at 5th Street and Neches Street downtown, citing safety concerns.
Doritos has built a giant vending machine each of the last two years in the small parking lot of Carmelo’s Italian Restaurant at 504 E. Fifth Street.
The venue can only hold around 800 people, according to Austin Police Cmdr. William Manno.
Lady Gaga is touring after releasing her new album Artpop in November.
There’s no ticket to buy, however. Fans will only be able to get access by completing one of the Doritos “Bold Mission” challenges.
