11-year-old, Celeste Lozano made her way on stage, Sunday night, hoping to impress the judges of the singing competition show "La Voz Kids". She sang her rendition of Demi Lovato's "Skyscraper"...
She impressed judge Natalia enough to earn a spot on her team and move on to the battle rounds.
"I was so happy that day smiling the whole time. I couldn't stop laughing. Natalia is such a nice person and I’m happy she turned around for me."
Celeste has been singing since she was 3-years-old but admits she still gets a little nervous.
"I like performing but it gets me nervous sometimes. I just freak out but I learn to calm down and just go with the flow."
Celeste attributes her success to the things she's learned from her singing instructors but credits her grandfather for her love of music.
"My grandpa would play guitar and would sing. I would listen to him. He taught me my first song. He showed me tones, how to use your diaphragm, to breath and that's how I learned to sing."
With the next round right around the corner, Celeste says she's ready. She plans to use the advice given to her by the judges and represent Laredo.
"I wanted to show the world there's talent in Laredo and even though it's a small town we have lots of talent.”
