LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- The U.S. State Department has issued yet another warning about the risks of traveling into parts of Tamaulipas, saying that the number of abductions in Nuevo Laredo has increased.\
The advisory is calling Tamaulipas the place with the largest amount of kidnappings in all of Mexico and aimed at U.S. government employees.
It prohibits them from traveling on highways outside Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa and Matamoros because of risks of armed robberys and carjackings.
They are also not recommending travel there after dark.
Just this may, Tamualipas launched a federal security initiative combat increased violence there.
