LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- An approval has been reached between the City of Laredo and the County.
It will allow them to build a much needed central fire station.
Commissioners court approved the inter-local agreement with the City of Laredo, allowing them to build then new central fire station in the empty lot near Loop 20.
The station will help reduce wait times in case of fire emergencies.
Aside from serving as a fire station, the county has plans to consolidate an Air E-vac and EMS department in the same facility.
A date of completion has not been established yet.
