LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- The City of Laredo is partnering up with a local organization and their goal is to keep Laredo clean.
A press conference was held announcing details of Job Corps and City of Laredo collaborating in an upcoming project to promote recycling.
It has been seven months since the once-a-week trash and recycle pick up has began.
District 5 council man Roque Vela will join the City of Laredo Solid Waste Department to make sure residents know how to use their new blue Billie Bote recycling bins and even how to take care of their Billy Botes.
Students will be wearing Billie Bote shirts and handing out recycling brochures.
Students from Job Corps will target District 5 on Monday, June 2, visiting with residents to explain not only what can be recycled, but also, what shouldn't be.
