WASHINGTON, D.C. - The cities of San Antonio, Laredo, and Monterrey could be going high speed.
According to a press release from the Press Secretary of Henry Cuellar, the Congressman attended a panel in Washington D.C. called "A New Vision for Transportation in America." At this panel, he shared a vision for a high speed rail line connected from San Antonio to Monterrey.
Cuellar said that linking San Antonio to Laredo to Monterrey, Mexico by rail would connect millions of people economically to not only the busiest land port in the nation, but would also show the importance and impact of bold transportation solutions. He thinks it will create jobs, link markets, and ensure a great economy in South Texas for generations to come.
