LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - One council member is looking at the legality of placing signs in front of sex offenders homes to identify where they live.

Currently, sex offenders don't have signs on their property. They currently have to register as a sex offender in the county registry with the Laredo Police Department.

Tonight on KGNS News at Ten, reporter Christian von Preysing tells us who's making this request, and why this person thinks it's necessary to protect the children.
