LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - Former County Commissioner Mike Montemayor is ordered to pay back the proceeds or items taken during his time in office by the Department of Justice.
Court documents show the former commissioner is to pay up to $13,000 for bribes accepted.
He pled guilty to charges back in June. All this is part of his agreement with the government, according to court documents.
Montemayor was arrested after the FBI came down on him with a list of illegal actions discovered by an undercover agent.
He is expected to be sentenced this coming October.
